Linda Reno is a widow with 2 children of her own and 2 step children. she counts all the children hers not as step anything. i love them all, grandmother of 19 and a great grandmother of 12 and great great grandmother of 1.I live in Gualala since 1999 am a Lion and a Soroptimist. I was a Home Health Aide for 50 years in Hospice and a Massage Therapist and a Tai Chi, Applied Kinesiology instructor for 25 years. I told stories to my grandchildren while they were little all the time. I sang to my children because children can't argue if they are singing, so we sang every where we went. i read to my children every day they belonged to 4 book clubs that sent books every month. so I would say get a book and I'll read to you and they would bring 10 each. So i would read to them. I'm part Cherokee so I wanted my children to be proud of their heritage so they went to a special class for Native American kids before school once a week to learn about the different tribes and we went to Pow Wows when ever we could. They learned the Horse Dance and preformed it in Vacaville Fiesta Days Parade. I went to the Cherokee Pow Wow held in Okalahoma Sept 5,1994 i was married to my second husband Danny Reno September 30,1995 in Fairfield in my Cherokee Tear Dress of Satin. I have a royal blue shawl satin that matches it for a conference i attended for Soroptimist. We were asked to wear our "Native Costume or a Formal Dress" for opening night. i called and asked which they wanted and they asked me to wear my wedding dress which I proudly wore, along with the jewelry I made for my wedding. I have been collecting rocks since I was 12 and cutting rocks since I was 16 and doing stain glass since I was 33. I'm learning to paint Thanks to "Bob Ross". I'm 72 years young.
