If the world can surround people with trauma, trial, and turmoil, doesn't God who is infinitely more powerful, have the ability to affect what is around me? Yes, He is able to change what is in me but I know He is also able to change what is around me. This affects how I walk, in what realm I walk, and what I behold. The very life of Christ on earth is the greatest illustration of walking in the glory or walking in God's Glory realm. Even though there were times when he was in adverse circumstances or criticized, or mocked, He was able to walk in the realm of God's power and glory. In a storm, He sleeps and then stills the wind. In a desert, He multiplies the bread and fish. On a cross He opens heaven for a dying thief. His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection were all in a realm of Glory. I hope by now you can see that this internal and external Glory have already been given. I hope that you will be able to say, this is what I want and this is the way I choose to live. I am a temple created and fashioned to house the Glory of Almighty God. I will no longer be stagnated, or immobile. I will move towards my Lord and behold His Glory. I will no longer be beaten and buffeted by oppressive surroundings because even though I may be in a wilderness, I will walk in His realm of Glory. It is not based on what I have done but because of what Jesus has done. It is not because of what I have been though but because of what He went through. In this prayer, God gave this Glory to Jesus and Jesus gave it to His disciples. His Glory has been given to us we just have to understand that it is a dimension or realm that we can choose to live in everyday.
