Wheels on a laundry hamper solve the problem of the last ten feet. A full hamper is heavy and awkward, and carrying it to a washing machine is how laundry ends up piled on a floor instead. A hamper that rolls goes to the machine, gets emptied there, and rolls back. At 27 in long by 13 in wide it is compact enough for a bathroom, a landing, or the end of a utility room, which is where hampers actually live. The 32.1 in height puts the top shelf at a usable level, and that shelf is rated to 33 lb, enough for detergent, a stack of folded clothes, or a basket of the things that come out of pockets. Total static capacity is 77 lb across the unit, with compartments separating the wash as it goes in rather than requiring it to be sorted later. Particleboard and steel with oxford fabric bags brings the assembled weight to 13.2 lb, light enough that a loaded hamper still rolls easily, which is the whole point of putting wheels on it in the first place.
