Wheels on a laundry hamper solve the last ten feet of the job. A full hamper is heavy and awkward to carry, which is why laundry ends up in a pile beside the machine rather than in it. A hamper that rolls goes to the wash, empties there, and comes back. This one measures 26 in long by 13 in wide and stands 26 in tall, a shallow footprint that lines a bathroom wall without blocking the route past. The frame is steel wrapped in woven plastic, which gives the texture of a natural basket without absorbing the humidity that discolours real rattan in a damp room. A polycotton liner inside lifts out with the laundry, so the liner is what carries the load rather than the whole hamper needing to be lifted at any point. A lid closes over the top, keeping contents out of sight in a room where everything is on display. Overall static capacity is 66.1 lb and the hamper weighs 9.9 lb, which is light enough that the wheels do their job properly even with a full load inside.
