"Everybody has a plan... 'till they get punched in the mouth." For fifth grader Surly Jones his plan is to play soccer, play video games and hang out with his friends. Anything else is considered a hassle.
Sometimes though... life catches you with a left hook that puts you down for the count!
Whether it's avoiding the self appointed, popular girl that wants to be more than just friends, facing the dirtiest soccer team in the league, or even worse, getting called out in front of all your friends by the wild child new girl with the attitude of a rattlesnake... hassles are what you got!
When you get knocked down, they tell you to get back up. That's easier said than done! But if Surly plays his cards right, he may find
solace
in the last place he'd expect and find a reason to get up swinging!
