Venetia Road: this house was a family home for two generations. It holds many memories. Written as a tribute to Mum Violet and Dad Nick who struggled to bring up five children during war time, Pat tells of the difficulties of settling in to their new home, after their return from evacuation during the war. No electricity, just gas, and rationing. There was lots of fun and laughter - until the children were sent away again; Mr Hitler hadn't finished with them yet.
