Value of a Thief continues Tyberius Lawarence Putnum's journey in the underground Thieves Guild. After an unexpected birthday party, he is shocked to learn that someone is out to kill him. Hoping to escape, to some place safe, he travels to another city. There his troubles seem to multiply, as not only does he have the Guild to worry about, but now the king of Kinksten is interested in his activities. He is not the only one with problems.
