Un Trentino America

Born toward the end of WW2 in the small village of Castel Condino high in the Italian Tyrolean Alps. Spent the formative years with the family living off the land, attending to crops and animals, at 11 years went to live Trento, Italy, with the Capuchin Monks a minor order of the Franciscans. Spent two years with the Capuchins and at the age of 14 years, left the monks and my family and boarded the ship Giulio Cesare in Genova, Italy and landed in New York eleven days later. I had $34.00 in my pocket and no knowledge of the English language. The first few years I lived with distant relatives whom my family had never met. Attended school in Solvay, New York. After graduation I attended Onondaga Community College and received my bachelor's degree from Syracuse University while working full time with Church & Dwight Co. Inc. Began full time employment with the Church & Dwight Co. Manufacturing Facility in Syracuse NY. maker of Sodium Bicarbonate, Ammonium Bicarbonate, Detergents, and may other products requiring diverse technologies. Started with entry level jobs, such as cleaning factory equipment and floors, and progress at various responsibilities that included: Supervision of Supply Stores, Maintenance Manager, Production and Logistic Manager and Plant Manager. In 2001 was promoted to Director taking responsibility for three Manufacturing plants , Chicago Ill, North Brunswick NJ and Harrisonville Missouri. Soon after was promoted the Vice President of Manufacturing, Managing 10 very diverse Plants and 2,500 employees in the United States. This position I held until I retired in 2013
