Homicide Detective Bill Celli was investigating the murders of David Gray, the owner of a woman's soccer team along with Coach Valentine of the LA Angels team. During his investigation ;he thought he had solved the crime but he was thwarted by the DEA whose information on the suspects was illegally obtained. Years later a murder of an undercover DEA agent revealed the same suspects. Using his ingenuity he reopens the old case. The story follows his investigation tracking the suspects.
