I wasn't sure how meeting baby Lily's father would go, but it definitely wasn't while tripping over an empty beer can castle after walking into his apartment. Locke Hayes, a disgraced pro football prodigy, is an absolute mess and within five minutes of meeting him, has become a complete pain in my ass. There's no way I'm leaving Lily with him, not until he proves he's dad material. Did I think that would mean moving in with him and helping with his transition to fatherhood? Nope, but here I am, teaching him how to change a diaper and warm up a bottle. But the more time I spend alone with Locke, the more trouble I have separating the father from the man. Especially when my heart flips every time I see him ... with and without Lily in his arms. Then, I break my one rule. I was only meant to stay until Locke was ready to care for Lily on his own. I always knew it would destroy me to leave Lily, but now I don't want to leave Locke Hayes. And I'm terrified he won't ask me to stay. --
