There are invisible forces fighting for our soul: one is Good, the other is evil. Mary's guardian angel compares her to a tender tree; she needs a little support, but to completely shelter her from the storms of life would just make her weak until she finally snapped. In this true love story, Mary doesn't see the evil forces trying to sabotage her from the inside out. Only her love of God and love of Bill will triumph.
