This study examined Cambodian holocaust survivors' experiences of trauma, suffering and adaptation toward healing. Utilizing constructivist and critical theory lenses survivors' accounts were examined within a larger context of: Historic geopolitical events, culture, class, ethnic and gender factors, economic and political structures, ideology and praxis. Systemic barriers within the U.S. system of health care and immigration policies are examined. Implications and recommendations for systemic change discussed.
