IF YOU SHOULD LOSE ALL YOU VALUE TODAY COULD YOU EMBRACE ALL OF YOUR TOMORROW?
Everything is slipping away fast! As the very ground beneath our feet becomes dangerously precarious, we are left with the desperate need for something to hold on to. We also want to know that whatever it is, has been tested, proven, and won't slip away like everything else. It is like the need for the air we breathe. That is why time spent discussing this need, is never overused. The fear that occupies the number one spot in the deepest recesses of the heart has always been our number one enemy. It cripples, and deforms us psychologically and emotionally. We know we have this need but are afraid to acknowledge that we do. And our children learn from us and are dying.
They learn to embrace the fear rather than to acknowledge the need. Learn about the mystery of occupying a larger space and still there is room for everyone else. Life is hard! The smallest child, if he could speak, would tell you that. But it is not hopeless. For, while there is life, there is also, LIFE. One of the things that remain a mystery to many of us is the extreme pain without measure that some people are able to endure. That they endure it both physically and emotionally, and still remain inside their skin, is beyond human comprehension.
To witness this awesome power outside of ourselves at work is really an amazing experience. It is from that place that I bring to you now, this book,
Too Deep for Tears
, a beautiful young woman, who could have been just your every-day-next-door-neighbor, in the prime of her youth, is tested and, challenged to the very core of her being. She made a conscious choice to lean upon the Rock of all Ages. With scores of witnesses looking on, the result is astounding. Karen was my only daughter, whose hopes and dreams were unrealized when she became paralyzed from a deadly, aggressive breast cancer. As I cared for her, I was blessed each day by all that I was learning. Each night before she retired she would look up at me with bright eyes and says: "Thank you mom, for sticking it out with me." We shared a home, and together, we have seen the sunshine, as well as the low-hanging clouds. And her passing has been the darkest cloud ever. Too Deep, is more than 200 pages of Love, Courage, and Faith.
