To shoot a chicken

Imagine that you are a 38 year-old woman, divorced plus one, a midwife, that comes back home after a busy hospital shift. You go up 13 floors by feet, carrying heavy bags with groceries, because the damn elevator got broken again. Suddenly you see a body of your neighbor near your front door. Challenging days are coming, during which you will encounter a bossy Russian mother, a cop with honey-colored eyes and a heart breaking smile, severe accusations and the evil spirit. You will not believe how many things you did not know about the "Russian" world, how creepy the darkness can be, and how the most usual situations can be funny to tears.
