The Thrustmaster Sol-R3 Ava Add-On Grip, powered by H.e.a.r.t HallEffect AccuRate Technology, is designed to bring precision and comfort to flight simulation setups built around the Thrustmaster Ava and Sol R bases, which are sold separately. The grip is loaded with 21 fully mappable action buttons, including 2 triggers, 2 hat switches, a ministick, and a thumbwheel, giving pilots full control over their simulation without ever needing to leave the stick to reach a keyboard or separate panel. At its core, 16 bit magnetic sensors deliver zero drift accuracy across every axis, including the notoriously sensitive Z axis, so inputs stay precise and consistent no matter how long a session runs. Two included Star cams let pilots reshape the axis curve on their Ava base, tailoring the stick's response anywhere from a gentle, forgiving curve suited to exploration and casual flying to a snappy, sensitive curve built for fast-paced dogfighting. Comfort is addressed through an ambidextrous grip design, with interchangeable hand and thumb rests that adapt the grip to either hand, helping reduce fatigue during long simulation sessions rather than forcing pilots into a single fixed shape. The grip also features a backlit ministick, adding a refined visual touch to setups built around it, and is compatible with Pc. As an add-on grip rather than a standalone stick, the Sol-R3 Ava is intended for simulation enthusiasts who already have or plan to build around a Thrustmaster Ava or Sol R base, letting them upgrade their existing setup with additional mappable controls, drift-free precision, adjustable response curves, and ambidextrous comfort rather than replacing their whole system from scratch.
