This Pile of Stones

Nathaniel was a boy of 10 when Moses returned to Egypt to free the children of Israel from bondage and lead them to the land of Canaan. With a child's excitement, he was ready to leave immediately but he had to learn lessons of patience through hardship before the journey began. For the next 40 years, he and his family endured disappointment, hardship, loss, victories and great joy as they traveled toward the promised land. He felt surprise, fright and awe as he witnessed great miracles and wonders of which he never would have dreamed. Neither did he dream that, after the end of the journey, he would be left with a task that was his alone.
