Serena wants what ever girl wants, love, but her parents showed her a different type of love. She desperately tries to understand what love really is when growing up in an abusive household. She vows to always protect her mother and brother from the wrath, that is her father.
Serena's life gets turned upside down when she can't keep that vow and her father is now on trial for killing her mother. An old friend reenters her life and helps her stand up against her father in court. Trying to be there for her brother and also figuring out what has rekindled with this old friendship. One question always remains, is this how love is supposed to be? Real love?
