The Year of the Everlasting Storm is an anthology film comprising seven sections, all of which revolve around the COVID-19 pandemic: "Terror Contagion" from Oscar winner Laura Poitras; "Life" by Jafar Panahi; "The Break Away" by Anthony Chen; "Little Measure" from Malik Vitthal; "Sin Titulo, 2020" from Dominga Sotomayor; "Dig Up My Darling" by David Lowery; and Weerasethakul's Night Colonies.
