The Washington Capitals 1974 to Lord Stanley: The game and a great moment in hockey in Bloomington, MN

In the Washington Capitals forty four year history there would be successes, and there would be failures. Dreadful seasons and spectacular ones. Stars, All Stars and great teams. But as the years went by; there would be no Cup. In 2005, a Russian born superstar named Alexander Ovechkin would start his NHL career with the Washington Capitals. He would go on to break
record after record. Win trophy after trophy; and yet there was still no Cup; and many of us began to wonder whether they would win a cup, at all. But on Thursday, June 7, 2018 those doubts were laid to rest; and Oh! Yes, the Washington Capitals did raise Lord Stanley.
