The War of 1812: A Brief History

It was a war for the sake of honor, at least from the American side. Impressment of Americans into the British Navy? Blockading of American ports? Boarding American merchant vessels? These and other actions on the part of the British against the United States helped lead to the War. In this book, a brief history, I've chosen 7 Americans who can be viewed as heroes in the War of 1812 in my "Key Players" section, as well as one enemy who is particularly revered by Americans - Tecumseh. I've chosen 13 battles that are significant for either their size/scope, strategic importance, or impact on American morale. The book includes 45+ illustrations.
