In this suspenseful epic adventure set in exotic South America, four neer-do-wells living in a sleazy oil town agree to transport highly unstable nitroglycerine over a dangerously rough road to a destination 300 miles away to cap a terrible oil-well fire. Though the drivers are often terrified, their desire for the high wages promised at the end, keeps them on track.
