ABOUT THE BOOKTIME SHIFT includes many things that happened in the 1950’s in Port Arthur, Texas. The town was a great place to live before the 1960’s when it changed forever and the experience of the town that was called THE WICKED CITY in the early days will never return (for better or worse). The story starts in 1986 when a young man that was born in Port Arthur was shot and killed in Houston. His parents were born and raised in Port Arthur so the story jumps back in time to examine the teen life in that exciting era. Hot rods, ice cream parlors, crime and prostitution were part of their lives, but growing-up would have to wait until later.
