The traditional approach, established in many Wing Chun schools, includes certain set of blocks. These blocks are thoroughly described; the distinct recommendations about observance of hands trajectories, angles of elbows deviation from the central line and relative to trunk, hands distance from the body and so on are given. The distinct description of blocks with indication of exact parameters (angles, distances) is acceptable for the training process. But it becomes unacceptable in combat practice - it is impossible to execute the training variant of block completely with real attacking adversary. The approach to the blocking techniques, offered in this book is blocks can be made by any blocking part of hand, on any trajectory depending on combat situation. At setting blocks the main accent is made on observance of Wing Chun main principles, but not the observance of concrete angles and exact trajectories that are not observed in combat practice in any case.
