The Teacher's Mind Travels is a collection of poetry and stories grouped by themes--ranging from the author's youth, to his career as a junior and senior high school teacher, to his wife (and muse). Riefner's voice is raw and direct, no doubt formed by his domineering father, and by his experiences in combat during WWII. This book is about his search for redemption.
