The Story of Lora

THE STORY OF LORA is a poignant and suspenseful story woven into a seemingly simple yet complex slice of life set in Augusta, Georgia in the 1980's. Lora's husband disappears and she struggles to raise her twin daughters. Her main concern is to find a home that she can afford and in a safe neighborhood. Not only does she find a house ideally suited for her, but loving neighbors who embrace her and her daughters. As the chapters unfold, relationships develop, but so do complications. Lora's choices and decisions effect all those who love her, and ultimately how she feels about herself. The ending begs for a sequel as readers become attached to Lora and the many characters. While Lora is a fictional character, she represents those whose stories are never told, and the peripheral characters are people who readers of all ethnicities and both male and female can relate.
