The Shoah: 101 Keys to Understanding the Holocaust, written by master history teacher Brian Hurd, features descriptions of 101 essential events, people, places, and concepts of the Holocaust. Hurd condenses these "keys" to history into nine chapters which cover the events which lead up to the Holocaust, the rise of the Nazi party, Hitler's consolidation of power, the Second World War, the "Final Solution," and the eventual liberation of the concentration camps and defeat of Nazi Germany.
