The Secret of the Cigar Queen: A Historical Novel From Cuba

In 1867, 16-year-old Anna leaves her hometown of Bremen in search of her father and joins a ship bound for the New World. Disguised as a sailor, the young cigar maker lands in Cuba, where she is taken in by the owner of a cigar manufactory, Hoffmann. There she meets former slave Luca.
