In a city of passion and wonder lurks a darkness. A nefarious band of traffickers known as "the ruffians" creep through Argentina's capital. Unbeknownst to the freshly arrived American sailor, Andrew, he soon discovers more than he bargained for when he meets the brave local Renata. She has risked much to rescue these trafficked women; nevertheless, actions have consequences. United by circumstances, Andrew and Renata must work together to escape the clutches of the ruffians. They face danger, excitement, and a romantically changed nature through it all.
