Nothing in this world is more moving and emotional than reading the sublime poems of a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The book is filled with pastoral and loving poems, which create an idyllic atmosphere, with delicate fragrance and celestial music.Ana Dediu (1912 - 2010) was a professor of history, but worked in many different areas, and was very lyrically inclined, navigating that unusual intersection of artless business and very suave poetry. She had a distinctive ability to conceptualize the world around her, and to communicate it, through charming poems, to all of us. Virgil Dediu (1912 - 1986), her husband, an electrical engineer, helped immensely in creating a solid and prosperous family. The efforts of Ana Dediu's daughter -in-low, Sophia Dediu, to prepare this book and to translate the poems, are truly magnificent. Here we have a book, when we celebrate the 238th anniversary of the USA's birth and 102 years from Ana Dediu's birth, which book will always be a pure delight to read it, and which will infuse life with beauty and astonishing renaissance.Ana Dediu (June 30, 1912 - April 17, 2010) was a small girl who became a care giver to all her brothers and sisters (13 of them). She was a straight A student, a hardworking, diligent person, who never wandered from the straight and narrow path of good behavior, and she captured the heart of all members of her very large family. The parents were proud of her and felt a certain amount of affinity for her. Besides the serious work, however, there was also some room for girlish mischief. She was radiant and rident, but sometimes this rident expression was misunderstood, in certain occasions in her life. She was a clement mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We all heard her singing old, traditional, melancholic, love songs, on renowned poems. Her life took numerous anfractuous paths, and most times lead her to beautiful summits.During her life she saw developments in literature, architecture, philosophy, technology, science; all of which she admired and was interested to read about, becoming an analysand during her mature years, and most of all, she wrote a couple of verses - "verses for nothing" she called them. She will write a history, or a romance, moral or poetical essays, and, while her performances remain with the language, she was a bel-esprit.
