When Brenda Mezz retired from teaching in a large Los Angeles high school, her husband, Jon, who coped with multiple sclerosis, craved a quieter life and a spacious backyard. Since that was unaffordable on a teacher's pension in L.A., Brenda figured if they were meant to leave the congested city, it might as well be to the small Ohio town where she grew up. Though it had been forty years, at least somebody might recognize her name. This book is the result of that move.This is a memoir in stories, triggered by dozens of confrontations between the author and her past, surprisingly still very much alive after all those decades.
