Although their bodies had been technically destroyed in what at first appeared to be an accident, the two minds of Tom Brenton and his second wife, Mary, were both alive and well, residing in her comatose form. Periodically checking on the dual mentalities, he continued to read about how life was back then and wondered how his ancestors managed.
