The Mortal Life of Ariadne in Bloomington, MN

Ariadne has always felt there is something missing from her life on Olympus with her husband and his kin. It isn't the loneliness she often feels from Dionysus' long absence as he spreads the word of his cult to the mortals of Hellas. She can't quite put a finger on it. But Zeus makes her an offer that she can't refuse even if it will break her husband's heart. Dionysus has spent the millennia since his beloved wife decided to give up her immortality trying to woo her back. Each time he watches her fall in love and marry one mortal after another, his heart shatters. How many more times can he possibly endure such torture? However many times it takes to woo her back. But his kin, they are growing tired of waiting for his return even though he does send regular shipments of wine back to Olympus.
