At least that's what Patrick Gallagher tells himself as he arrives in Las Vegas at the peak of the Cold War with a dream that can't be bought in gold or jewels: To become a standup comedian, a monologist. But nobody can run away from their past, no matter how bright their future may seem. The world isn't as clear as it appears. Will Patrick succeed?
