Eva is a young student of Modern History living in Rome, where she's finishing her university studies. However, during this crucial phase of her academic life, she is suddenly struck by tragedy: the unexpected passing of both her parents and shortly after, her paternal grandmother. Now feeling alone in the world, Eva only has her brother Marco for family. But Marco lives in Paris with his French wife, leaving Eva truly on her own. As a result, she finds herself in a position where she must quickly secure even a simple job to sustain herself and hopefully continue her university education until graduation. In a stroke of what seems like a miracle, she quickly finds employment. She's hired as a part-time sales assistant at an old tie shop located in the Rione Prati district. But while diligently performing her tasks, in the absence of the shop owner, she inexplicably becomes a witness to a series of seemingly absurd yet utterly startling visits. Events she wishes she could keep to herself but soon finds she cannot. She's compelled to share them with a young man from the nearby cafe. Unwillingly, Eva finds herself at the heart of a peculiar storyline, marked by random visits from figures of a bygone era. A sequence that she can neither understand nor explain. Yet, as she reflects on the mysterious reality unfolding around her, Eva recalls a lesser-known Latin saying mentioned by the playwright Plautus, suggesting that one's given name might hint at their destiny.
