The Magic Candle

A warmhearted story of one little girl’s struggles and the impact her courage has on the lives of others. When young Lessa Hughes is left to care for her ailing father, she enlists the help of a peculiar neighbor woman, Patricia Marr. But in a panic, Lessa flees her family farm, fearing loss and danger at the hands of Jeb Wheeler. While packing a duffel for her journey, Lessa discovers a unique candle among her father’s few prized possessions and feels she must take it along. Follow this courageous little girl as she travels by foot and by train from farm to city with Jerri, her friend’s shepherd dog, and the mysterious candle with seemingly magical powers.
