Bart Lonigan knew from the first moment he saw Emily that she was the one he would marry and raise a family with, but her father had something else to say about that. Just a simple blacksmith's assistant, he didn't have much to offer, but his love. He called on her after a random occurrence saw him in possession of the blacksmith shop.
