THE LONELY HEART

Kia encounters a lot of hardships and tragedies in her life. After her father walks out of the picture with no direction she depends heavily on one of her brothers, Jimmy, and her mother who unfortunately passed away. While trying to deal with the loss of her mother, the murder of one of her brothers, and losing her sister Jennifer to HIV/AIDS. Kia also has to cope with her sister Barbra, now dying from breast cancer and the suicide of her cousin Diane, who killed herself while in prison for a murder that she didn't commit. Fearing that Kia will become another statistic, Jimmy gives his sister a very deep and emotional pep talk. Only at this point Kia gets focus and finds her true calling. Shortly after the passing of her mother, Kia's father returns with a hidden agenda. Working as a hitman, he ends up going to jail for multiple murders. While incarcerated he runs into an old enemy.
