the Little Man Clock

The Little Man in the Clock is a whimsical tale of a fictional man whose duty is to keep the time running in the grandfather clock of an elderly couple's home. After feeling unappreciated and overlooked, the Little Man abandons his job only to realize that he was, in fact, very important and vital to the function of the elderly couple's day-to-day activities. He returns to his duties with that realization and purpose.
