The Laycock Legacy in Bloomington, MN

A history of the family of John & Martha Laycock of Cowling, Yorkshire, England who brought their family to America in 1882. Book includes life in Cowling, Gill Beck Mill, their life in Bradford after the burning of the mill and their journey to America to seek a future for their children. Emphasis is on the life of one son named Arthur and his wife Sarah Francis Goins whom he met and married in Alabama. The book features many photographs as well as sketches and paintings created on location in Cowling by the Donna Peters, author and illustrator.
