and pianist
Art Hodes
. They are joined by British drummer
Colin Bowden
for a frequently jubilant set comprised of a dozen
trad jazz
standards
. Although the material might be quite familiar (including such songs as
"There'll Be Some Changes Made,"
"Exactly Like You,"
"After You've Gone,"
and
"All of Me"
), the high-quality solos and the interplay between the musicians makes this a date that
Dixieland
mainstream jazz
fans will want. Released for the first time on this English CD, the set finds all of the participants in prime form, including
Hodes
