Such a transformation is only possible when the church contends with this nation's history of policing, mass incarceration, and need for repentance through reparations. Only then can the prison-industrial complex (PIC) be replaced by a new world where everyone is human and all needs are met. Therein lies collective liberation and Kingdom come.
