Rani is a twenty-five year old student, living with her tradesman boyfriend and working to pay for her home and her education, when she becomes the victim of a drink-spiking incident. As her life falls apart, she takes refuge in her art, changing in ways she never imagined and slowly healing from her own horrific experience, until she witnesses another drink-spiking attack and discovers that a workmate is of the men responsible for her own assault.Taking vengeance upon him, she faces a jail term for her actions, despite having clear-cut evidence of his crime and the support of the wider community. She goes into hiding, being placed in a rehab clinic by her legal advisors as the court case threatens to expose a corrupted subculture that permeates society from top to bottom. This being so, she is approached by the underworld figures who benefit from the clandestine use of drugs; whatever their purpose, and finds herself playing the most dangerous game of her life.
