The House on Kalalua in Bloomington, MN

Kevin Occley, a Special Forces veteran of the Vietnam War, is obsessed with the long-unsolved murder of his sister, Kitty. He believes the Chatsle house on Kalalua holds the key to her untimely death. The Chatsles had a reputation for shady dealings while alive, and it is rumored that their ghostly presence still exists in the house. The Chatsles' son, Andrew, was listed MIA in Vietnam, but Kevin is convinced that he is still alive. Kevin is helped by unknown persons to access the diaries of Mrs. Chatsle. Sal Bremer, whose family now lives in the house, is also interested in reading Mrs. Chatle's diaries. Soon, Sal and Kevin are united in attempting to solve Kitty's murder, and get caught up in political intrigue involving a cabal of wealthy and powerful people who gain their wealth from wars, and an ancient spy organization that tries to stop them at their evil game.
