Every family has a history, for better or worse. The Hartmetz name first pops up in Kindenheim, Germany in the late 1500s, before spreading all over that country and the United States and Canada in the 1800s. This edition was taken from the three volumes, originally compiled in 2000, with literally hundreds of photographs and thousands of original documents, detailing dozens of generations. You MUST have both halves in order for this to make sense.
