The High Priestess

The year is 212 BCE in Kildare, Ireland. The sacred temple of Brighid, the Celtic Trinity Goddess, is invaded and the nineteen sisters of the priestess circle are stolen from their sanctuary. When a local band of legendary Fianna warriors embark on a mission to rescue them, Aislinn, the proud, independent High Priestess of the order finds herself reluctantly relying on the handsome and arrogant Cyric Baine to deliver them from the brutal hands of slave traders. As Cyric's fascination with the purity of the priestess draws the fury of his fiery lady warrior companion, Aislinn thinks distancing herself from the Fianna leader's charms will come naturally. With her heart set on devout dedication to only her Goddess, her concern is freeing her sisters unharmed. But when she is forced to consort with the warrior, an experience strictly forbidden to her in her sacred servitude, she gets a taste of a life she has never allowed herself to indulge in, and for the first time, she finds she is craving more than her solitary life in the temple can fulfill.
