The Fund: A Memoir of Mom in Bloomington, MN

What we remember most about Mom was her love for life. She was the most courageous person we ever knew and was far ahead of her time by light-years! In the business world, she went up against the best of them defying tradition and breaching circles that were forbidden to "the fairer sex." Her legacy to us was The Fund - the concept of having a contingency plan, not just financial, but in all areas of life. It inspired Mom to grasp every opportunity and to embrace each adventure - buying a castle in Italy, a racetrack in the Berkshires, being sued with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and dining with the Shah of Iran!
Whenever we opened a bottle of champagne, watch out!
We were all off to Europe on the spur of the moment, because Mom never went anywhere without her two girls.
