A newly-elected U.S. President, elected on the promise torestrict oil exploration offshore and in other sensitive areas goesback on his promise. In response, a group of America's largest oilcompany CEOs, led by a mysterious and diabolical Saudi, wanthigher oil prices more than they want more oil and orchestratesa series of "accidents" involving offshore oil rigs, tankers andother oil facilities in an attempt to cause a public backlash thatwill force the President to stop new exploration and protecttheir profits. The CEOs even fund a "front" environmental groupto manage the public outcry. But something about the plan isnot as it seems. The Facilitator keeps the reader in suspenseas it builds to a climax that is both surprising and ingenious.
