In this technically accurate Sci-Fi story, Race and Anaïs are faced with the terrifying fact that someone found a way to overcome the natural size restrictions on invasive fire ants. No more murderous and dangerous creature exists on the planet and they are uncontrolled. These new monstrosities begin devastating the nation, and then the world. Humans cannot stop the smaller natural ones, despite all of the advances in science. These new giants appear to be just as unstoppable. If Race and Anaïs cannot find a way, humanity's reign on Earth as the dominant species will be at an end. From the book: You are not going to believe what I am going to tell you, but I brought proof. We responded to the 911 call of a family being attacked by unknown assailants. My partner and I raced out there, lights and sirens. When we got there, the side of the mobile home was torn open, like a bomb had gone off or something pulled the wall down. We rushed inside and my partner jerked open the bedroom door and a face out of a horror movie stared back at us. It rushed us and it got my partner and cut him nearly in two until our service pistols killed it. You have to believe this. It was a giant ant, about the size of a large dog and hard to kill. Just as I bent to help my partner, another ant came in through the hole in the side of the trailer. I shot my gun dry and finally killed it. It had me in its jaws when it died, me firing straight down into its head.
