The Drivers Deadly Trade

A RETIRED RACE CAR DRIVER MAKES A DEADLY TRADE SO HE CAN RACE AGAIN Scott, a former race car driver, in his fifties and unhappy, watches his favorite professional Indy car driver, Vance Wellington, compete in the championship deciding finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Instead of winning the championship, Wellington is involved in a horrendous accident and is fatally wounded. That night Scott says to himself, "If I could take all the days that make up the rest of my life and trade them in for Vance Wellingtons life this year, knowing I would die a horrible death like his at year end, would I do it?" A dark figure comes to him in the middle of the night and offers him the trade. The next morning, Scott wakes up to find it is early in the year, and he is at a racetrack for preseason Indy car testing. Scott competes in the Indy car series but struggles with his life as flashbacks appear, scrambling his identity. As the season progresses, he drives the most demanding and thrilling racetracks in the world, but his fate is looming as the year end approaches.
