The Dragon Who Feared Fire

"The Dragon Who Feared Fire." was written by Jeff Shevlowitz and illustrated by Paz Winshtein. Young children will enjoy the bold colors and pictures as their parents read them the story of Harold, a young dragon who is teased by the others of his age for his very un-dragon-like fear of fire. Older children will enjoy reading Harold's story for themselves. Children will learn the value of friendship, and of being able to face the thing you fear. Harold becomes friends with Krystal, a human girl, who is teased by the other children for her ability to talk with animals. When a lightning storm creates a fire that rages through Krystal's village, Harold is able to overcome his fear of the flames to help save his friend's village.
